A downloadable game for Windows and macOS

Made by myself in about 24 hours for DC Jam Summer 2020

See the world. All of it. As cheaply as possible.

Click a square to move the purple marker. Each time you move, the surrounding 8 tiles will be revealed. Do this until all the tiles have been revealed, then move home to complete the trip. Each click can be on any tile you wish, but there are varying costs:

  • The 4 adjacent squares (up, down, left, right) are cheapest
  • From an airport to an airport is reasonable
  • To a revealed non-adjacent square is expensive
  • To an unrevealed square is very expensive
  • If the destination is water, the move's cost is multiplied

Install instructions

  1. Download the zip file appropriate to your computer
  2. Unzip the file
  3. Run the executable

Note: Mac users may have to change a permission to get it to execute. Something like this (unfortunately I'm not quite sure of the exact commands because I don't own a Mac):

cd SeeTheWorld_Mac.app/Contents/MacOS
chmod +x SeeTheWorld
./SeeTheWorld
